1. Sugarloaf Mountain (Pão de Açúcar)

Bonus: on weekends you will find either a DJ playing lounge and bossa nova songs or samba sessions around sunset time

A favorite sunset spot for locals, Mureta means “little wall” and it runs along the promenade in the Urca neighborhood.
Along the wall you’ll also find botecos (bars). Take a seat on the wall with some snacks in one hand and a caipirinhas (kai-pur-e-en-ya…a traditional Brazilian cocktail made with Cachaça, freshly squeezed lime juice and sugar)in the other and enjoy the vibrant hues of the sun setting over Guanabara Bay.
